He knows a thing or two about who's' got talent, and Piers Morgan certainly spotted a few future stars when he popped into Leeds this weekend.

The Britain's Got Talent judge and talk show host was in Briggate to promote No Power Hour, a campaign to encourage families to switch off their power and switch on to some outdoor activities and electricity-free fun instead.

Piers, a father of three young sons, is the No Power Hour team manager for the national campaign. He joined the city's youngsters for a mass warm-up session and demonstrations of goal shooting, dribbling, keepy- uppies and a ball-control assault course,

He said: "I have seen some real talent in Leeds today. I think at least three of them should have been in goal for England on Saturday!"

He added: "Kids these days spend too much time on playstations and watching telly, and scrambling their brains in the process.

"So we want to try and take them back to when I was a kid and doing things like playing football and getting fresh air and whatever it is you do that doesn't involve
power."

NPower Hour is a campaign by NPower, one of the sponsors of Back the Bid England, the campaign for England to be the host country for the 2018 World Cup.  Piers can be seen in the photograph backing the bid, with an official England 2018 scarf.
